Verdict
The Harry Derham stable can do little wrong at present, and MONVIEL looks more than capable of following up on a taking success at Ffos Las last month. A 5lb rise may prove lenient for a gelding that has run off higher marks in the past, and he is preferred West To The Bridge, who bounced back to form himself with a comfortable success at Wetherby in February. Punta Del Este and Tune In A Box have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.
Expert View Verdict
Doubts surround the suitability of the quick ground for a number of these notably the Skelton pair Punta Del Este and the well handicapped West To The Bridge. FOR PLEASURE proved his stamina last time under an aggressive ride last time. He could get an easy lead here and will be tough to peg back if doing so under the champion jockey. Monviel bounced back to form on drying ground last time and remains very well treated on his old form following a 5lb rise. He may pose the biggest challenge to the selection.
